Equity in solar, storage and adjacent infrastructure

Karensi Power provides energy consulting in Armenia as the developer, owner and operator of three grid connected solar plants. We have taken each of them from site selection to daily operation, so our advice starts from what a project must get right on the ground.
We evaluate technologies and vendors against your site and grid conditions. We explain the public rules for energy storage licensing. We carry out technical and commercial due diligence for owners and lenders. Where a project is still an idea, a feasibility study tests the site, the grid connection and the commercial case before capital is committed.
First, scoping: the decision you face, the site and the information you already hold. Second, assessment: the technology, the grid connection, the commercial assumptions and the applicable rules. Third, a written recommendation: findings, open questions and a clear position on each option. Fourth, support through the decision, the vendor negotiation or the licence application, within the agreed scope.
The service is for owners, investors and large consumers entering the Armenian market or the new storage framework. Since 1 August 2025, consumers using more than 12 million kWh a year buy their electricity on the market. From 4 December 2026, energy storage becomes a licensed activity under Law HO-228-N; plants up to 1 MW or used for own needs are exempt.
We apply the same work to our own plants. SOLAR-5 at Lake Sevan runs at 6.8 MW; ARSUN in Hrazdan, 2.4 MW, was financed by the German development bank KfW over a 12 year tenor. Stellar Energy in Spitak, Lori Province, is a 2.44 MW agrivoltaic plant financed through Armswissbank with a government subsidized loan. Together they hold 11.6 MW, generate 18.6 GWh a year and avoid 7,610 tons of CO2.
Start with a technical conversation. Tell us the site, the stage and the timeline if you have them; we will reply with a proposed scope and the first questions to settle.

Karensi Power delivers turnkey EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) for solar power plants and battery storage in Armenia. We are a Yerevan based developer that owns and operates its own solar plants. The scope we offer clients is the scope we have carried out for ourselves.
That scope covers site development and permitting, equipment procurement, construction and grid interconnection. We manage permitting, procurement and construction locally and stay accountable for the asset once it delivers power to the grid.
First, we assess the site and secure the permits. Then we design the plant and procure the equipment. Next, we build the plant and connect it to the grid. Finally, we commission it and hand it over to the owner.
EPC is for industrial and commercial clients, landowners and investors who already hold a license. Two rules now shape the decision to build a plant or a battery of your own. Since August 2025, consumers above 12 million kWh a year buy their electricity on the market. From December 2026, storage for own use above 1 MW needs no license.
Three plants stand behind the offer: SOLAR-5 at Lake Sevan, ARSUN in Hrazdan and Stellar Energy in Spitak, 11.6 MW in total, all operating. ARSUN was financed by KfW with a 12 year loan tenor; Stellar Energy through Armswissbank with a government subsidized loan. Plants of this class are routinely financed by Armenian banks with development finance credit lines.
The first step is a site assessment. Send us the site, the stage and the timeline if you have them. We will come back with a first view of what the site can carry.
Site assessment
We assess the site and its connection to the grid, then manage permitting locally until the site is ready to build.

Specification and procurement of modules, inverters, batteries and balance of plant, matched to the plant design and the grid connection conditions.

Civil and electrical works, the substation and the connection to the grid, then commissioning and handover of an operating plant.

Mining is part of Karensi Power’s business alongside energy. Our team has more than fifteen years of experience developing and operating mining assets in Armenia. We bring that experience to licensing, permitting and technical review, and to power supply and infrastructure for mine projects.
