Operating

Karensi Power's 2.4 MW grid connected solar power plant in Hrazdan, operating since 2019 and financed by KfW with a 12 year loan

ARSUN is a 2.4 MW solar power plant in Hrazdan, Armenia. It was commissioned in 2019 and has been connected to the grid and operating since.

The plant generates approximately 3.8 GWh a year and saves about 1,600 tons of CO2 annually. These are operating figures from a plant with several years on the grid, not projections. Capacity, output, emissions, financing and commissioning year are all on record, which is what a lender's first screen asks for.

ARSUN was financed by the German development bank KfW with a 12 year loan tenor. For a lender that is a concrete reference: Karensi Power has closed financing with a development bank before. The plant that financing built is operating today.

Karensi Power developed ARSUN, owns the plant and operates it as part of an 11.6 MW operating base. Investors and development finance institutions can request an information pack on the plant at info@karensi.am.
