A 6 MW solar power plant with energy storage in Kotayk Province, now in pipeline, bringing together Karensi Power's solar record and its NESS storage work

Kotayk Solar and Storage is a 6 MW solar power plant with energy storage in Kotayk Province, Armenia. The project is in pipeline. It is the only project in Karensi Power's solar portfolio that pairs generation with storage on one site.
The logic is the one behind NESS, Karensi Power's energy storage company: solar power arrives at midday, while Armenia needs it after dark. Storage closes that gap by holding midday generation and dispatching it when the grid can use it.
On the storage side the project follows the NESS model. Karensi Power develops the site through to interconnection and structures the project to fit Armenia's licensing framework and financing requirements. It then manages permitting, procurement and construction locally. Once the plant delivers power to the grid, the company stays accountable for the asset, as it does for its three operating plants.
Technology partners and regulators who want to understand the scope and stage of the project are welcome to a technical conversation. Send your questions to info@karensi.am.
