Karensi Power's 6.8 MW grid connected solar power plant at Lake Sevan, operating since its commissioning in October 2022

SOLAR-5 is a 6.8 MW solar power plant at Lake Sevan in Armenia. It was commissioned in October 2022, is connected to the grid and has been operating since. By capacity it is the largest plant in Karensi Power's solar portfolio.
The plant accounts for more than half of the company's 11.6 MW of installed solar capacity. The other two operating plants are ARSUN in Hrazdan and Stellar Energy in Spitak. Together the three form the operating base on which the company's next projects are judged.
Karensi Power developed SOLAR-5, owns the plant and operates it. Responsibility did not end at commissioning: the company runs the plant day to day and answers for the electricity it delivers to the grid.
If you are assessing developers for a solar or storage project in Armenia, SOLAR-5 is a sound place to begin a technical conversation. Write to us and we will take you through the plant.
