Karensi Power's 2.44 MW agrivoltaic solar power plant in Spitak, Lori Province, with panels raised above land that is still farmed

Stellar Energy is a 2.44 MW agrivoltaic solar power plant in Spitak, Lori Province. The panels stand above farmed land, so the site generates electricity while the ground beneath stays in agricultural use. The plant is operating and forms part of Karensi Power's 11.6 MW solar portfolio.
Stellar Energy was financed through Armswissbank with a government subsidized loan. Together with the KfW financed ARSUN plant, it gives Karensi Power a financing record with two different lenders on operating assets.
Karensi Power developed Stellar Energy, owns the plant and operates it. For a landowner the plant shows what shared use of a site looks like in practice: the land keeps its agricultural purpose while the panels above it generate power.
If you own land and want to know whether solar can work alongside farming on it, we can start with a site assessment. Write to us with the location and the size of the site.
